Hello Blyth community, term 4 will start in next week! And today I am going to introduce you some effective study methods. This article would include the following 6 simple and effective high school students learning methods aligning with the Feynman method of learning. These learning methods revolve around learning habits, learning attitudes and learning skills, which are often used in normal school studying. Let's have a look!

1. Learn to read and study by yourself

Self-study is the main way to acquire knowledge. Most of the problems in study, mainly rely on their own to solve. Reading is a major form of self-study. Through reading textbooks, we can independently understand knowledge, grasp the essence of the concept, deepen knowledge and form ability. The higher the level of learning, the more important the significance of self-study.

2. the habit of preview

Preview can connect with previous knowledge, discover new problems, think about how to solve problems, and bring problems that you can't understand to class to listen to the teacher's explanation better. This can cultivate the ability of self-study, and can improve the interest and effect of listening.

3. Get in the habit of being organized

The tidy up of learning utensils should be regular, the books stored in the bag or desk should have a certain order, do each subject homework to arrange a good time in advance and so on.

4. Paying attention to the class

It is very important to pay attention in class. Psychology tells us that attention is the orientation and concentration of psychological activities to a certain object, and it is the dynamic feature of the psychological process. Directivity of attention can make people's psychological activities can selectively reflect things in every moment. Concentration of attention can make things clearly and profoundly reflected in the human brain.

Listen carefully to the class first means that you have a strong self-control ability, followed by a strong interest and desire to learn, both of these students, learning will not be bad.

5. Reviewing after class

The advantage of timely review is that it can deepen and consolidate the understanding of the learning content and prevent the rapid forgetting that usually occurs after learning. According to the Forgetting Curve, forgetting is fastest for two or three days after memorizing, and then gradually slows down. Therefore, to just learned knowledge, should review in time. As the degree of memory consolidation increases, the number of reviews can be gradually reduced, and the time interval can be gradually longer. To timely "strike while the iron is hot", learned that is, in time. Don't go to review long after you have studied. In this way, the knowledge will be forgotten, it is equal to relearning.

6. Doing homework independently

It is clear that doing homework is to check the effect of learning in time. After preview, class and after-class review, whether knowledge is understood, whether it is remembered, to what extent, whether knowledge can be applied and how strong the ability of application is. These problems of learning effect are inaccurate based on self-perception alone. Really understand not to understand, remember not to remember, will not be applied, to do homework through the application of knowledge in order to be timely test. Doing homework can deepen the understanding and memory of knowledge. Many students often copy other students' homework when they don't know how to do it. Knowing it well can not only not improve their ability to do problems, but also make their memory of the learned knowledge fuzzy, and may even reduce your ability to understand these knowledge.

Feynman learning method is an efficient learning method invented by the Canadian physicist Feynman. Feynman himself was a genius, teaching himself calculus at 13 and joining the Manhattan Project at 24.

Step 1: Choose a goal

Goal selection is as simple as deciding what you want to learn or what you want to do. To learn a technology, to learn a field of science, to learn a language, to learn a concept, etc., can all be called goals.

However, if you want to set great goals, then look at SMART principles: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Based. This means having a plan that is specific, measurable, attainable, meaningful to you, and within a certain deadline.

Step 2: Teach

Create a situation in which you teach "others" what you've learned. In this process, there will be a lot of problems, such as not clear, do not understand, they are ambiguous, etc., it shows that these knowledge points are not skillfully mastered. Trying to teach and discover weaknesses is the key to this step. We can evolve by writing, recording instructional videos, recording into our phones, practicing, etc.

Step 3: Correct and learn

If you encounter problems in the second step, you need to enter the third step, error correction learning. Whatever mistakes and ambiguities are made in the teaching process, they need to be strengthened in this step. We need to query the data repeatedly, learn and strengthen our memory, and then repeat the second step for verification until we can teach the relevant knowledge smoothly.

Step 4: Simplify

This step is to refine and simplify the content learned above, remove unnecessary and redundant information, and express it in your own language easily and easily, instead of reading from the book.
